My name ist Karoline Rosičky and I am a midwife in Carinthia/Austria. I offer midwife care for english speaking families.

In Austria, you do have the right to be cared for by a midwife before, during an after pregnancy and also during birth.
Some midwives, like me, do have a contract with the genereal insurances. This means, that some of the appointments with your midwife will be covered by insurance and you don't have to pay for them ( as long as you have an austrian insurance!).

This includes:

• one appointment between 17+0 and 21+6 weeks of pregnancy
• one appointment every day in the first five days after the baby is born
• seven more appointments until the baby is eight weeks old
• and some more...
